12 drawings with india ink and pen ink on paper
38 x 56 cm (15" x 22") each

In this series of ink drawings incorporating various objects and texts, I've documented a number of resolutions I made over two years. The decidedly simple visual depiction I employ references childhood pedagogy, specifically through the use of a punishment given to children in elementary schools where they are told to write the same sentence repeatedly. Here I am interested in the possibility of willfully transforming the self, but this activity could also be interpreted as a hopeless and helpless attempt.
